Two thousand years ago, the Romans ennobled the Istrian wine tradition and olive oil. The first existing civilisation in Istria built Castrum and started the production of the noble liquids of oil and wine. Through the ensuing generations, production has been perfected, so that today it has developed into a high quality wine. Olive oil is the basis of Istrian cooking. It is produced using the cold press(extra virgin) resulting in one of the healthiest oils in the word.
